Rebel Soldier (Echo Base Battle Gear) – Hasbro Star Wars The Vintage Collection
VC68 | 3.75" Scale Figure | The Empire Strikes Back | 2021
Sealed.
The 2021 reissue of the 2011 VC68, keeping the number but not the figure as it was: Photo Real face printing replaces the painted deco, the mismatched joint pegs of the original are corrected, and the jumpsuit and vest are recoloured to a more off-white suit with a tanner vest. The card art is the 1980 Kenner Rebel Soldier (Hoth Battle Gear) card.
Includes:
- Rebel Soldier figure (VC68) with goggles
- Blaster pistol
The Echo Base infantry held the trenches on Hoth against the AT-AT advance while the transports got away, the first time the films showed the Rebellion as an army rather than a handful of pilots. The hooded cap and goggles mark the ground troops apart from the Rebel officers and snowspeeder pilots in the same scenes.
