Tartakovsky Clone Wars Original Pre-Production Storyboard C
Tartakovsky Clone Wars Original Pre-Production Storyboard C
This is an original, hand drawn storyboard from the Genndy Tartakovsky 2D Clone Wars animated series. From the collection of Paul Rudish, Art Director on the series.
This scene features Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi hiking underground on the planet Nelvaan (a nod to Nelvana, the studio behind the DROIDS and EWOKS series).
The yellow parts are revisions that have been stuck on top of the original panel.
Corresponds to approximately to 17:05 to 17:22 of Clone Wars 2D Episode 2 in the Disney+ version.
The Genndy Tartakovsky Clone Wars series was released on 2003 and predatates the longer running Clone Wars animated series. It aired for 3 seasons made up of short episodes, which have been combined into 2 episodes on Disney+. The design of this series has a retro flavor, giving a nod to the Nelvana Star Wars animated DROIDS and Star Wars Holiday Special and other cartoons of the era. They're really cool and worth a watch!
