Original Takara Japan Star Wars X-Wing Fighter metal badge pin, sealed in its blister on the dark blue starfield card with the Japanese and English Star Wars logos. Item number 410012-8, priced at 200 yen on the card. The pin is a cast metal X-Wing in an antique bronze finish with a pin back. Card carries the Japan Toy Association ST safety mark and the Takara Dakko-chan logo.

Takara held the Star Wars toy licence in Japan for the 1978 release of the film, working from the General Mills and Kenner licence, and produced its own range of inexpensive novelty items alongside the larger action figures and vehicles. The metal badge was part of Takara's SF Pack line of carded impulse items. The back of the card shows the full SF Pack range: the three metal badges (C-3PO, R2-D2 and X-Wing Fighter), the four Star Wars button badges, the R2-D2 eraser and pencil sharpener, the Star Wars pendants and the Star Wars keychain.

Takara's Star Wars products were sold only in Japan for a single season and most of the small carded pieces were opened and worn, so carded examples are hard to find.

100% original vintage Takara Star Wars — no reproduction parts, ever.
