Rex was part of the first series of Star Tours figures Hasbro produced in 2002. The packaging follows the green Power of the Jedi card design of the time, with the Star Tours logo in place of a film title, a Collection 1 flag, and a Disney Theme Park Edition mark on the back. The first series was made up entirely of droids from the ride queue and cabin, with Rex as the only one featured in the ride film itself. The character was voiced by Paul Reubens, and the line ran through five series before ending in 2005.
