Kenner's Micro Collection line launched in 1981 as a premium counterpart to the 3.75" line — die-cast metal figures at a smaller scale, designed around interlocking playsets recreating key Star Wars locations. The Death Star Compactor set brings the famous trash compactor scene from A New Hope to life with a manually operated compactor, elevator, and remote-operated blast door that springs shut. Its 8 die-cast figures cover the full scene cast: Luke Skywalker and Han Solo in their Stormtrooper disguises, Princess Leia, Ben Kenobi, Darth Vader, and three Stormtroopers in distinct poses.
