After years of collectors requesting an updated version, Hasbro finally delivered an all-new Landspeeder from the ground up. This 2002 Toys "R" Us exclusive abandoned the gimmicks of previous releases — no more opening hood that was never seen on screen — and focused purely on recreating the weathered speeder Luke piloted across the Jundland Wastes.

The vehicle features a properly scaled two-seat cockpit with a detailed dashboard and functional steering column that Luke can grip while piloting. A clip on the side of the hood secures the included blaster rifle lengthwise, just as it appeared in the film when Luke went searching for R2-D2. The proportions are far more accurate than the original Kenner toy or the Power of the Force II version, making this the definitive 3.75" Landspeeder of its era.

The pack-in Luke Skywalker wears his white Tatooine tunic with sand-weathered paint applications on the sleeves and hem. Articulation includes swivel neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, waist, and hips — standard for the period. The figure's slightly bulkier build reflects its POTF2-era origins, though it fits adequately in the driver's seat.
