This prototype is an early 1997 test-shot casting of Luke Skywalker from the Power of the Force “Purchase of the Droids” three-pack Cinema Scene. Produced in non-production plastic colors, test shots like this were created by Hasbro for tooling and mold evaluation before full-scale production began. These figures were never intended for retail sale and remain rare artifacts of the development process behind the modern Star Wars toy line.
