Timothy Zahn's brilliant Chiss strategist, the character who essentially relaunched Star Wars storytelling with the Heir to the Empire trilogy in 1991. Part of the 1998 Expanded Universe sub-line where Kenner finally gave fans figures based on comics, novels, and video games. Each figure in the wave came packaged with a cardboard 3-D diorama backdrop.
The sculpt captures Thrawn's white Grand Admiral uniform with blue skin and red eyes nicely for the era, though the skin tone runs slightly darker than most depictions. The ysalamiri — the Force-inhibiting lizard central to Thrawn's strategy — is a great inclusion and drapes naturally around his shoulders. Standard six points of articulation with the typical oversized POTF2 blaster.
