Star Wars The Empire Strikes Back 10th Anniversary Gold Mylar Poster

Poster | The Empire Strikes Back | 1990 | Kilian Enterprises

NOTE - It was difficult to take pics of this poster due to the reflective nature. We've taken close ups to show any issues, but a lot of what you see is glare or light reflection.

Gold mylar one sheet poster (27" x 41") featuring the Darth Vader helmet design, produced by Kilian Enterprises under licence from Lucasfilm to mark the 10th anniversary of The Empire Strikes Back. The design is credited to Dayna Stedry.

Kilian Enterprises was an independent printing house founded by Jeff Kilian, which held a Lucasfilm licence to produce commemorative anniversary posters in the late 1980s and early 1990s. These were non studio releases: they were never sent to theatres and were sold directly to fans, with Kilian creating new artwork rather than reprinting theatrical designs.

The gold mylar is commonly cited as a limited edition of 500. Mylar posters are printed on a reflective, foil like stock that is heavier than standard poster paper, and the surface shows handling marks easily, which makes clean surviving examples difficult to find more than 35 years on.

To protect the poster in transit, it ships rolled inside a poster tube, which is then packed inside a rectangular cardboard box.
