This is an original, hand-drawn Layout Pose by Nelvana artist Brian Lemay for the Droids Cartoon. Brian was a Layout Artist at Nelvana and worked on the DROIDS and EWOKS animated series, and kept this piece from his work in the 1980's.
A Layout Post is kinda like a storyboard for 2-3 seconds of screen time. It provides the animators creating the actual animation cels with where things should be placed, how and where they move and any interaction with the background.
